Back to Basics (default theme, current selection)
I arbitrarily decided that Gaia wasn't a good default theme. The multiple backgrounds, while looking cool, made it hard for a browser to scroll down the page. It also assumed too many things for my (newly enlightened) liking, so here's something more basic. None of the spacing is done in pixels, so it'll honor whatever your browser's default font size is, and there aren't any clever graphical tricks, so it should be speedy to use.
Gaia
I thought it might be cool to do a light-on-dark theme based on Blue Marble. In Greek mythology, Gaia is the mother of Cronus and the Titans and the Goddess of Earth. This theme makes use of a classic CSS trick to give the appearance that various boxes are doing neat things to the background, though I had to write in a fall-back to not attempt that in Internet Explorer since it's unable to be mature about such things. Unlike previous versions of the Gaia theme, this one is designed to work with all the major browsers, albeit with varying prettiness.
Newday 2.0
This is my first attempt at an entirely CSS-based layout, based roughly on the look I'd been using since 2001. I feel strangely artistic saying this, but i found myself tired of sans-serif fonts in the old page, so i went with a serif font this time around. According to some research I can't seem to dig up, serif is easier to read for dark text on a light background.
Serenity
I wanted to play around with display: inline; to make a horizontal list for the menu. I got to experimenting with that and the consequences of having the entire width of the browser available for page content and this is what came of it. This theme makes use of the excellent (and free) Bitstream Vera font collection if you happen to have it installed.
Technical Imperfection
I decided I wanted another black-serif-on-white option, so I made this. The background image is based on a wallpaper I found at DeviantArt. Thanks to its creator, `divineerror, for letting me use it.
And no, the choice of image isn't supposed to be significant. I just thought it was cute.
Random Theme
This will randomly choose one of the above themes on each page load. I have no idea if anyone would want to use this, but it was a simple feature to add and gave me an excuse to use ternary logic.
