What's the deal with naming your computers?
Naming a machine not only gives you a closer bond to it, but it makes life a lot easier when you're trying to talk about which machine did what. I name my machines are named after characters in Douglas Adams' epic Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy series.

Linux is an alternative operating system, one of many free Unix-like systems. It does a good job at doing the things that I want my computer to do. Check out Wikipedia for more info.
