In The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Wowbagger (the infinitely prolonged) is a fellow who was made immortal by a strange accident with an irrational particle accelerator, a liquid lunch, and a pair of rubber bands. After becoming bored with watching everyone he knew die, he set out upon a quest to insult everyone who had ever and will ever exist in the universe... in alphabetical order. Given that primary DNS is likely to talk to a great many different machines across the entire internet (even if it doesn't respond with an insult), I thought the moniker fitting. |
