What A Game (2 comments)

We made a social event of Game 3. I'd instructed the TiVo to record four or five shows scheduled after the game just to make sure we got it all, since we'd be watching it on a time delay. Of course, this would have to be the longest world series game in the history of baseball, so recording until midnight wasn't enough. when the recorded version went into extra innings, we checked live TV -- just in case it had somehow gone on past midnight -- just in time to see Blum (Blum? Blum!) hit it over the fence.

It turns out that I'm still a White Sox fan, albeit with a dusty memory. Back when I paid attention, Blackjack was the ace, surrounded in the infield by Kark, Big Frank, Joey Cora, Ozzie Guillen, and Robin Ventura. Those were the days... though I guess these young'uns are doing alright.

And judging by the things I said tonight, I'm still a baseball nerd.

Me: Ugh, E-6.
Matt: Bingo!
