I was waiting to blog about the wedding until I got the photos and video off of Mel's camera, but I still haven't gotten around to doing it.
Kathi and Jon recruited me to be their bell ringer. Immediately after their marriage was blessed and they readied to depart the sanctuary, it was my job to run over to the bell rope and give it what-for. Make that jubilant what-for.
Because the bell operation rope is in an office on the second floor of the church, I was stationed above and behind all the guests. When the benefits of that were discussed at the rehearsal dinner, I was assigned the secondary task of shooting and killing anyone who voiced their disapproval with the marriage.
Everyone held their peace, so I held mine.
Ha, it's a pun! anyway, I wasn't issued a firearm, so it's probably good that nobody protested. I'd have been a failure.
Unrelated, I got a free orange juice at Merry Ann's on Tuesday for calling the proprieter an asshole. He was a little bit drunk from watching the White Sox lose.
