In the spirit of Eats, Shoots & Leaves, Chas and I had fun lamenting the misuse of punctuation in the top headlines carried by google news today.
"ABC News 9 Killed As Suburban LA Trains Derail"
Oh no! The train took out a local network affiliate!
"Rice Is First Black, Female Secretary of State"
Where'd that comma come from? I guess it's not entirely hopeless, as BET has since changed it to "Rice Is First Black Woman Secretary of State."
How are the kids supposed to learn the language if journalists can't bother to get it right?
"you're hurting america."
