Monte Cristo (3 comments)
I joined my coworkers for lunch yesterday at Bennigans and tried for the first time the Monte Cristo. It was awesome. I felt like I was at the fair, given the frying and powdered sugar dusting.
I picked up the reimbursement check for last month's trip to LISA this morning. I apparently made money by not being able to spend my daily allowance on food every day. Thus it seems that I'm once again right that $40 a Aay is working on a flawed premise.
It took 24 years, but I finally confronted my father last night about his bad influence that's sent my holiday life plummetting into a downward spiral of frustration for everyone I know:
"I blame you for teaching me to buy the things I want before other people have a chance."
"Yeah, that's a bad habit."
Also, I realize I'm really hard to buy gifts for, and I don't like people hurting themselves trying to find something. I've got enough stuff.
