NUCLEAR PROLIFERATION (4 comments)
I just watched a Presidential Debate and I care. Before bush took office, I'd given up on the two party system and didn't care about Republican vs. Democrat. Now I've got buttons on my website! Didn't see that coming.
Anyway, I'm biased, but I find it painful to listen to our President speak. Being a grammar snob, I find it particularly grating that he's unable to conjugate "to be," the most oft-used verb in the English language. Anyway, I liked watching tonight's debate because Bush came off as an idiot. I found myself entertained by the contrast between his uncomfortable excuse-making and pre-scripted talking points. Whether or not it's my existing bias, I thought Kerry was much better at talking on his feet. I also don't recall him staring at the moderator as though it were completely out of line to ask a question related to a previous topic. I'll probably even watch the next debate and keep supporting the Democratic cause.
Also, I'm cursed at work. My desktop machine's hard drive died this morning after a long string of RS/6000 disk failures among the machines I run. I'm told I'm not going to be trusted with the SAN anytime in the near future.
