ck's archive: weezer

I just got back from the Weezer concert, and my hearing is surprisingly good. Tenacious D was much better than I'd expected. They're performers, so recorded music doesn't do their act justice. There's a lot of crowd interaction and wacky on-stage hijinks. Weezer, on the other hand, just stood there and played their music wet-blanket-style. It was an interesting contrast.

I was a bit disappointed with Weezer's song selection. They played all the hits from the green and blue albums, and some new stuff that sounded really good, but nothing like Suzanne or Jamie or Pink Triangle. They were just a lot more mainstream than my Weezer playlist, and thus skipped quite a bit.

Dave pointed me to this horribly addicting game. It's a fun puzzle game with lasers, for all the nerds out there.
