Domains (0 comments)
I bought ckuehn.net and learned that 12 euros is about $10.53. I've no big plans for it yet, since I'm using urhnet and they frown on outside DNS pointing to university IP space (and I've been reprimanded for exactly that already this year).
I got all excited looking through international domain suffixes, Iceland in particular. I was looking through their whois and found that chr.is is available. I could be chris@chr.is! But it didn't work out. .is domains are only available to residents of Iceland, international trademark holders, and international emissaries. For now, I'll have to keep alert for someone from Iceland in my classes so they can hook me up with a domain.
I just closed the ISR and Busey-Evans computer labs, so it's time to turn in my timecard and go home. Have a happy Thanksgiving break, everyone.
