ck's archive: recovery

The testing has been done and the parts have been ordered. In honor of the huge blue spark that caused all this, I've elected to replace the power supply with an Antec SmartBlue 350 which will glow blue in its normal operation. The other replacements are a Gigabyte GA-7VAX mainboard, an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ (1.8GHz) processor, and 512MB of PC3200 (400 MHz) DDR SDRAM. I also picked up a bigger faster hard drive, since I'd like to do a clean reinstall of the various operating systems I use on it, but I don't want to lose what's already on the big drive. Now I get to wait for the parts and plan out the install procedure.
