I forgot to tell everyone about last weekend's challenge! I was taking my girl to the mall, going north on Randolph, when I was forced to stop at a stop sign by "traffic laws." As I was casually rolling to a stop, a blue Ford Focus pulled up next to me and honked. I looked over and saw the passenger counting down with hand signals. This confused me. The standard focus runs around 130 peak horsepower. My car is rated at 227. So it would take some bad driving by me to lose this battle (documented in illegal_street_race_focus_vs._wrx_vtec4ever!!!!.mpeg). Being confused and law abiding, I slowly pulled off the line at "2" in a distinctly non-racing fashion and made my way to the mall. It's not an exciting story, but I ended up with the girl. Yeah, she was in my car the whole time, but I still got the girl, so I'm a winner.
On Sarah's recommendation, I tried the cherry limeade at Sonic. It tastes like Mountain Dew Code Red with a pixie stick poured into it. Fine by me.
And I miss my girl.
