Donuts (1 comment)
Some of Mel's friends from IMSA were in town this weekend, so for the first time in a while, she got a chance to socialize without me. I'd not realized how little time we spend apart (at least outside work). it's a bit shocking, but I've not noticed because my social life hasn't suffered. Without her, I'd be sitting alone in a dark room playing video games. Anyway, when she got back from her new-kinda-like-magic-but-not-really-card-game beta testing (one of her friends was bored, so made up a new game), she walked through our door with a dozen donuts. If that's not love, I don't know what is.
There was a big outing to Magic Kitchen in Springfield on Friday. It was yummy, but I'm still not sure whether it's worth ~3 hours of driving just for the meal. I don't know of much else worthwhile in Springfield, so we go there exclusively for the meal. It's excellent food, but there's always a debate as to whether it's that good.
OK Go was on The Tonight Show on Friday. It's strange to see a band hanging out behind The Canopy Club talking to their ~20 adoring fans and signing autographs one week, and then see them broadcast nationally the next.
