In Bed (1 comment)
There's a running joke in my circle of friends that any message from a fortune cookie should have "in bed" tacked onto the end for better accuracy. When the big group went out for Chinese last week, my fortune was "some pursue happiness; you create it."
After getting fed up with the two to three pieces of unsolicited commercial email I receive each week, I setup spamassassin to score my incoming email for spam likelyhood last night. It's pretty neat. Next I'll set up some procmail rules to stop all mail that bounces through Korea or Brazil. For those of you who think that sounds harsh and arbitrary, it's worth noting that Korea gave their school systems big grants to buy hardware and network connectivity, and didn't allow them to spend any money on personnel to correctly configure or maintain the equipment. As a result, they have hundreds of open mail relays that spammers exploit. I don't know what Brazil's problem is, but the result is the same.
I have tickets to OK Go with The Red Hot Valentines and They Might Be Giants. Treebaby's even coming to visit for the OK Go show. Everybody's excited about that. Mel got a big bottle of strawberry wine just for the occasion.
