Engrish (3 comments)
I picked up The Lion and The Witch yesterday. It's an EP with six live songs from Weezer's latest tour of Japan. Included in the packaging is a sampling of mail from their Jpanese fans. I won't pretend to have any insight into why they chose the selections they did, but what's there is pretty hardcore engrish:
"...I enjoyed LIVE by side of sound effects with the husband on the 26th. We enjoyed ourselves until the music of Weezer was satisfied. He forgets age, a rhythm is taken corporally and the waist has become painful after LIVE. It was so pleasant time. Mr. Rivers very pleasantly, your guitar performance and the voice to sing made me hot, and imporessed me. It is heard and swarmed. Mr.Brian I like the method of the performance which is united with your spectator. It also becomes pleasant that I am on that occasion. Mr.Patrick I become the feeling which strikes the drum together with you repeatedly in LIVE. It rode on the rhythm together and he was able to be enjoyed. Mr.Scott The pattern of your tattoo is worrisome. it will be what beautiful pattern --was it painful? I thought that it was the direction which prizes fans. Thank you. Both legs are extended greatly and it is the performance method. I also imitated at home..."
It goes on, but I think that's enough. That engrish is funny stuff.
ISR's print sentry broke again Monday night, but this time, it took about an hour to fix remotely rather than six hours to fix in person. and now that I understand the problem, I've been able to prevent it from ever happening again. Of course, with that late night work, I was able to convince myself to take the day off work yesterday and play some more Gran Turismo 3. Don't tell Aaron, but I was able to win a Camaro race car that's better than his current Corvette will ever be. Were he to find out, he'd have no choice but to come hang out at my place and race until he can win one himself.
