It's late Thursday night, nearing midnight. I'm working on my current project for Unified Consulting when the illustrious Val IMs me. ISR's print server can't get to the network, and he wants me to fix it remotely. I tell Val how stupid that idea is and pop into the staff chat room. after about an hour, I've convinced the people at ISR to stop paging people (the first-level page recipient is drunk and the next is on vacation). The next day, Rick and I go over to ISR and reinstall the machine. Neither of us had done that before, but the guy who does left sufficiently detailed notes such that we could figure it out. So I spent almost six hours on that, and it seems to have worked. I was sufficiently tired after six hours in a computer lab (I don't like that lighting), but Aaron took me (and Mel) out shopping. Then he played some more GT 3 and I got to relax. He finally got his corvette, too. I think the boy's hooked.
Aside from that, my life's been pretty calm. There was a cookout yesterday, and a trip to see Office Space at the rerun film series. I had to skip Office Space, since I had a whole lot of catchup work to do for Unified Consulting, but that's ok. I have the DVD.
