I decided it's time to invest in a good television, now that I have a nice apartment. Yesterday (the main move-in day for the dorms), Mel, Aaron, Allie and I braved the horrors of North Prospect to stop by Best Buy. I'd had my eye on the 27" Sony Wega with the FD Trinitron CRT (much like my favorite monitors), but was unimpressed with the sharpness, color, and contrast of the display model compared to the Toshiba 27" flat CRT sitting right next to it. The Toshiba was cheaper than the Sony, and Allie had a Jeep there, so I took it home.
It's nice to have everyone back on campus. We had a cookout with the uiuc.test folk tonight and had a great time. Food, folks, fun, and a flying disc.
