Thanks for all the input. Based on the comments I got here and Mel's phone's performance at our new apartment, I'm going to check out Verizon's plans and see what I think.
This is a big week coming up, with student move in and all. The labs are slowly getting installed, though I need to push out a new (hopefully final) build of the login client, which means overwriting a file that's in use whenever windows is running. we'll see how that goes.
I bought a Playstation 2 yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to set it up ("if you're playing video games before the apartment's clean, I might have to cry!"). It's ok. I have plenty to do for work with Unified Consulting anyway. I just need to get the internet to come to my apartment...
I'm proud to say that I kicked Mel's ass in the all look same dot com quiz (Chinese, Japanese, or Korean), correctly classifying a whopping 10 of 18 portraits! super-happy-white-boy-lucky-guessing-madness!
