I'm playing with a fun backdoor at work. RemoteNC made its way onto one of our machines (presumably through a weak password), and corrupted my Mathematica package, which in turn broke my VirusScan package. Of course, the engineers at McAfee decided that this particular exploit wasn't worth including in the things that VirusScan looks for, and that's why it became a problem in the first place. Symantec does recognize it, and maybe that's something to think about.
