I bought a dvd player yesterday. It's the cheapest one that Best Buy carries. So far, it does everything I want just fine (it plays dvds). Not bad for $70.
I'm not sure what it is, but I'm on a shopping kick lately. Saying that makes me realize that my mention of shopping is vastly different from what the girls do when they go out. They just wander around all the stores that catch their fancy for hours on end, with no agenda whatsoever. When I go out, it's because I want to buy something. Right now, I'm arguing with myself as to whether I should get another pair of sunglasses. At least, I want to go try them on, see how they look. I suppose I should wait until I have a job for any more extravagant purchases.
Speaking of me not having a job, our web programmer here at work managed to fuck up a survey such that each new submission would overwrite the last one. Looking around Housing, I'm annoyed that all these people have jobs and I don't. I'm thinking of writing a replacement to Dining Services' card swipe verification system from scratch just to make a statement. Four people work full time on that right now, and I think I could learn all the necessary libraries to make a far superior system work in under a week. I guess I'll keep sending out resumes and see how bored I get around here.
